Pickup Policy

Collecting your container from the depot — process and requirements.

Pickup availability

Depot pickup is available from the yard where your unit is located. Your quote shows both delivered and pickup options where applicable, so you can compare the two directly. Choosing pickup removes the delivery line from your quote.

Release process

After payment confirmation you receive a release number and the pickup yard address. Pickup windows are booked in advance with the yard; arrive with your release number and suitable transport equipment, and yard staff will load the unit onto your trailer.

Equipment requirements

You are responsible for transport equipment rated for the container: typically a tilt or roll-off trailer for 20ft units and a step-deck or flatbed with a 40+ ft deck for 40ft units, plus securing equipment (chains and binders or twist locks). Securing the container for road transport is the responsibility of the person collecting it.

Inspection at pickup

Inspect the unit against its quoted condition grade before it is loaded — our Inspection Guide provides a five-minute checklist. Accepting and transporting the unit confirms it matched the quoted condition at release.
